The Warehouse

Who are you?

CoderDojo Dublin @ The Warehouse is a programming club for young people. At the Dojo, young people, aged 6 thru 17, learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games, and explore technology in an informal and creative environment.

We typically run sessions covering the following topics:

  • Scratch for novices to learn the basics of programming
  • HTML/CSS to create your own web sites
  • Java to create web applications and Android applications
  • Python and Raspberry Pi for anybody who has already mastered Scratch
  • App inventor or Android Studio to create applications for Android phones and tablets
  • Projects for experienced programmers working on their own hardware and/or software projects

Where and when do you meet?

We meet every Saturday, except Bank Holiday weekends, during the school term from 1pm to 4pm at the offices of Zalando at 3 Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2.

Getting there by bus?

Grand Canal Quay is served by the 56a and 77a Dublin Bus routes.

Getting there by train?

Get off at the Grand Canal Dock DART station, turn left upon exiting the station and walk for about 2 minutes.

Coming by car?

On most days there is limited parking available at Zalando's offices on a first-come first-served basis.

Do I need a ticket?

Yes, but they're free!

Tickets are available on TiTo from 7pm on the Monday before the session until midnight on the Friday.

What should I bring?

  • A laptop - We don't have any spare laptops so you'll need to bring your own or borrow one
  • A parent - If you are under 13, a parent must stay with you throughout the session
  • A drink and a snack - There aren't many places nearby to eat
